What casings do we accept and how to safely prepare them for scrap?

We strictly buy empty, fired (spent) casings from sports and hunting ammunition. The most desirable and valuable material is brass (a characteristic golden-yellow metal). We accept a full range of calibers – from the highly popular 9mm, through rimfire ammunition (.22 LR), to larger rifle and hunting calib
Where do you most often find this material?
- Shooting ranges and sports clubs: Scrap collected en masse after regular training sessions (e.g., IPSC dynamic shooting, target shooting).
- Hunting associations and biathlon clubs: Spent casings collected during hunting seasons and winter competitions.
Tip: For safety reasons and strict regulations, we absolutely only accept fired (empty) casings. There must be no live ammunition, duds, unspent primers, or gunpowder residue in the delivered batch. Before delivering the material, it is worth testing it with a magnet – separating expensive brass casings (non-magnetic) from cheap steel casings (magnetic) will guarantee the highest valuation.
